KDB+/Q Developer – High-Frequency Trading & Analytics
About the Role
A global specialized solutions provider is expanding its U.S. presence and seeking a KDB+/Q Developer as a strategic growth hire. You will design and deliver high-frequency, low-latency trading and analytics applications that power some of the most data-intensive environments in global finance.
What You’ll Do
- Design and develop performant applications using KDB+ and Q.
- Build and optimize low-latency, high-throughput systems for real-time analytics.
- Collaborate directly with clients in a hands-on, consulting-style capacity.
- Contribute to projects in user analytics, data surveillance, and tick-level data processing.
- Document solutions clearly and communicate across both technical and business stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven expertise in KDB+/Q development.
- Experience in capital markets, especially high-frequency trading or real-time data environments.
- Strong knowledge of real-time analytics, data processing, and scalable architectures.
- Familiarity with KDB.ai or contextual search / generative AI use cases is a major differentiator.
- Additional strengths:
- Big Data ecosystems (Hadoop, Spark, etc.)
- Infrastructure knowledge (Java, DevOps, Linux/Unix)
- CI/CD pipelines and modern delivery practices
- Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
