C++ Engineer – High-Performance Trading Systems
About the Role
A leading global trading technology firm is expanding its U.S. engineering team and seeking an experienced C++ Engineer to design and build next-generation trading platforms. This is a strategic growth role offering exposure to equity trading systems, ultra-low-latency infrastructure, and cloud-native deployments.
What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, and optimize low-latency C++ applications for equity trading and market data.
- Implement containerized microservices architectures for scalable, high-performance trading.
- Deploy and orchestrate services using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Integrate trading systems with AWS and Azure cloud infrastructure, ensuring secure, distributed operations.
- Collaborate with traders, quants, and DevOps to deliver production-ready solutions.
- Drive performance tuning, fault tolerance, and high availability for mission-critical platforms.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong proficiency in modern C++ (C++17 or later) for real-time, high-throughput systems.
- Experience in equity trading technology (low-latency, order routing, execution systems).
- Hands-on expertise with Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices.
- Knowledge of AWS and/or Azure, including networking and security practices.
- Solid understanding of multithreading, concurrency, and memory optimization.
- Ability to thrive in a production-first, fast-paced environment.
Nice to Have
- Scripting skills (Python, Bash) for automation.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code.
- Exposure to high-frequency trading (HFT) or tick-level data systems.
